Supporting New York City Youth - Heroes of Today and Tomorrow

Holidays with Heroes, Inc., is a community-based and focused non-profit organization*, whose primary mission is to develop, implement, and/or support innovative programs and activities that facilitate the wholesome psychosocial development of today’s youth.

The Law Enforcement Explorers program provides young men and women from the city's diverse communities with an introduction to a career in law enforcement or a related field in the justice system. The program, geared for ages 14 to 20, often results in strengthening ties between the community and police.

Holidays with Heroes, Inc. is the first and only community-based nonprofit organization to partner with the New York City Police Department on a citywide basis in support of those adolescents who have selflessly committed themselves to working with and learning from law enforcement officers.  Predominately, these are inner-city adolescents of color, who reside in areas where the enhancement of community relations is of the utmost urgency. 

Our future activity and programming, in addition to the annual shopping experience, will be conducted with the goal of aiding this generation of adolescents to become the future police officers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, fire fighters, EMTs and paramedics, teachers, and elected officials who will guide this great nation to a bright TOMORROW!
